Fostering Associate Engagement Using the Gallup® Q12 Survey
As part of Interface®’s commitment to build a strong, healthy and engaged workforce, we routinely conduct the Interface, Inc. Associate Survey across all global business units.
The “Q12” survey is a set of twelve core questions defined by Gallup, a world leader for the measurement and analysis of opinions, attitudes, and behavior. The questions have been proven to have a strong relationship between employee satisfaction, engagement, and strong, productive working environments.
Survey responses by associates are an important way to measure employee engagement and to assess the strengths of Interface’s work environment across business units and geographical areas. The information from the Interface Associate Survey helps Interface and its managers plan actionable steps to create a stronger work environment.
Since Interface began the survey in 2005, Interface has scored well above Gallup’s overall average in the category of understanding and identifying with the company’s mission and purpose. This is critical as Mission Zero™ – or Interface’s promise to eliminate any negative impact the company may have on the environment by 2020 – can only be accomplished with every associate’s active involvement and input.
